I would have thought that you would have been over your GAWR of 3950..
I was a bit surprised that i wasn't 100-200 pounds over. Although the RCSB has less of a GAWR, GCWR and GVWR than a double cab, your starting with a curb weight for the RCSB that's around (I might be mistaken) 800# or so lighter than a double cab. I didn't weigh the truck by itself the second time so the pin weight was a guestimate. The first weigh in with the truck alone had the front axle at 2740# and the rear axle at 2340# ( including both hitches) so that left me with 1610# to play with before I hit the rear GAWR. The biggest challenge is staying within the GVWR and again the lighter RCSB gives you maybe a couple of hundred pounds more to work with.
You're right about the tow delete on the SAP not having the trans cooler.
That's the next thing on my to get list. The trans cooler is a must have for any extended towing, towing in hot weather or a trip with any long grades.
I can not find any 5th wheel trailer that is within the specs. available on my 2008 SR5 DC.. with the tow pkg..
I can have a GCVW of 13,500 .. and the truck GVW is 6700 ...
and the door sticker says it can only load 1350 .. (people, gas, cargo, and guitars)
Does anyone know of a 5th wheel that would not push the Tundra over it's factory set limits...
(my insurance agent told me to stay within the factory limits, or I could be on my own if I were in an accident.. He said the weights and limits are now one of the first things that they look at to try and void your coverage)
I want a 5th wheel , but I want to be "legal" ...
Rex..
Check out Forest River, I have a Rockwood '26 that barely breaks 6,000 lbs. and there are a variety of models I have eyeballed now that the 5.7 is available that are very "legal", even Sunny Brook has a very nice one.
2005 Rockwood 26' 5'er, Michelin LTX MS tires, 270 watts of solar on the roof, 4 T-105 golf cart batteries, Xentrex converter, Outback FX2012T inverter/charger.
If you can't take it with ya, why bother with an RV!

Gone but not forgotten~
Well, I got this last yr. Family loves it. Very liveable and comfortable. 4 bunks up front (floor plan attached). Tows very well with 30psig in airbags. Weights are at published limit for Tundra (weighed in camping loadout prior to trip), but really it tows nice and is very controllable. starting and stopping no problem at all.
