Default Might jump into Rv'ing?????

Ok, gang. I could use some help here. We might jump into Rv'ing and I have a ton of questions, most of them about our Tundra and towing.

What do you guys think the max hitch weight should be?
Max trailer weight?
Length of trailer?

We really like the Keystone sprinter 301RMP. Don't know if the tundra can do it and need your help.

Also for all you RV'ers, How does the Keystone Rank???

Thanks

At 7,500 lbs you are well within the published specs of a Tundra. Even loaded up, you should not exceed 9K, for 900 lb hitch weight. You'll want weight distribution hitch w/ sway bars for a 30 foot trailer.

I researched a lot before I bought my Keystone Trailer. (I have the 314 EFS 5th wheel that I tow with my Tundra). It seems to be somewhere near the middle of the pack: no Titanium, (very nice) also no . . Dutchmen. Nothing against Dutchmen. Also each manufacturer has different levels of trim, and I'm not sure where this particular one sits.
The Tundra will have no problems towing that. Just be safe, and don't let the 381 HP let you forget you have a trailer behind you.

What tundra do you have? 4.7 or 5.7? does it have the tow package? what is the weigth of the trailer? rule of thumb is to have a trailer no more than 80% of the tow capacity as your other 20% will be used on things such as cargo capacity.

I am on my 2nd Keystone product, would rather not talk about the first one being it was a "Zeppelin" that leaked like a collinder. My current Outback has been great, but is much heavier.

Thanks guys.

I have the 07 Tundra Crewmax 4x4 TRD Tow package. All stock for now. Looking at Firestone air bags, TRD sway bar and better tires for towing.

Also, Are our tundra's pre wired for brake controllers?

My wife really wants a trailer with the bunk beds, that way the kids don't have to make the beds before we eat at the table as the bunks are in a seperate room. The 301RMP has what I want, a place for my dirtbikes, fold down bunks and a big slide out. I would really like something in the 25ft range, but the ones I looked at don't have what we need???

Will a 5th wheel fit on the crewmax?? I know they make a sliding hitch for 5th wheels so you can slide it make for tight parking, but still don't know if it would work on the crewmax.

Thanks guys..

so i assume you have the 5.7?
My truck came with the tow package which included tow mirrors and the plug in brake controller harness. Was simple to install and plugs in under your dash per the instructions.

I tow a 32' 8400lb trailer and the tundra handles it very well, but i personally wouldnt go bigger.

Not sure about a 5er with the crew max bed length, also watch your weights with a 5th wheel.
