Default Class III extension wobble

I have a class III hitch on my RV right below the spare tire. I put an extension on so the I can easily attach by Hoveround carrier. The extension and the carrier both wobble. How can I tighten these receivers to remove the wobble?
Thanks.

Either attach some tie downs from the corners of the carrier to the bumper/frame/whatever you can find or you can shim the receivers so they are tight. Soda/beer cans cut up and wrapped around the 2" square work well for this. IMO the tie downs will be a better solution tho.

Is your RV a Class A or a trailer?

I have a class C RV. I was thinking of using wooden shims. If they work out then I do not have metal on the road.

similar problem with bikes on a front mounted rack easily solved by using bungies to the brush bar / bumper assembly.
