Drove from Denver area to Ohio to pick it up. 44 hours seat time and 2700 miles. The 06 DC TRD 4x4 did fine with the 2010 230RS Outback. Equal-i-zer hitch, Primus brake controller, McKesh mirrors. About 8-9mpg, I was keeping it around 65-70mph to make it back in a couple of days. At 55-58, I got just over 10, sometimes around 11mpg. At 75, 7.5mpg.

Equal-i-zer 1200/12000lb keep it straight and true, with big trucks causing a uniform push of the trailer and truck at first, then an equal pull about 3/4s of the way thru the pass. I know the hitch is overkill, but it worked out fine.

Hookup/hitch setup at Holman's RV Batavia, OH. Measure, adjust, hookup again, repeated about 2 times. Following manufactures directions put it spot on. 3/4 inch squat in front and back, nice an even.

Very Nice Combo! Hope to have something similar someday.

Roger that on the heated underbelly. It'll be properly winterized before the cold gets too bad. But with the furnace on, it'll keep a couple of cool evenings, if I need it. I don't plan on camping in the dead of winter here.

As far as price, local, the best I found was $22K down in Colo Springs for an early 2009, with a lot of demo traffic thru it. Here in Denver, it was worse, not even wanting to deal. I went to Holman's web site in Ohio and was quoted just under $18K for a new 2010 with all the extras.

Thanks for the info,

The prices vary wildly around here also it seems driving 150 miles could save $3000-5000 on a new unit amazing!

Congrats on your new rig. I am driving up to Holman's (only 6 hours from Asheville, NC) to pick up a new Keystone Laredo on July 13th. Saved roughly $3,500 over any dealer in the Southeast.
I have been talking with Jamie over the phone and she has been very easy to deal with.
How was the pickup process? Did everything go smoothly?

Pickup was pretty good. I didn't even meet Jamie after spending a few month on the phone and emailing her. Just the service techs and the pre-delivery inspector. I was missing one set of keys, but it turned out the factory failed to ship about 30 trailers missing that same set of keys for the cargo door. Holman's FEDEXed them to me as soon as they received them from Keystone. Just goes to show you need to check EVERYTHING when you pick it up. All else was good.

They pretty much left me alone on the yard to setup the hitch as I had wanted. Plus I wanted to give the rig a final going over before leaving.

I showed up a 8am when they opened, was heading out the gate by noon. I could have been gone in a couple of hours, but wanted to have all the opportunity to check all systems a few times.
