Wiring a 2002 Sequoia for electric brake controller
Hello! I have a 2002 Sequoia that needs to be wired for electronic brakes (for a boat trailer). Obviously, it is not pre-wired like the 2003-current models are. I've done a number of searches and not found exactly what I need in terms of steps to getting this done. Has anyone here done this themselves? The dealer's service dept seems to be very confused about exactly what I need done and want $350 to do it.
The big questions are logistical concerns like where to run wires to the back of the truck and if I need to start drilling holes in the firewall if I can't find a grommet. Additionally, I keep reading about the importance of finding the right wire for the stop light switch - I've looked and can't be certain I've found the right wire.
Any thoughts or advice?
