Leaving very soon for a trip to Yellowstone (Fishing Bridge RV Park) and am very excited.
Mileage is about 800 miles each way.
I-90 all the way to the cut off for the North entrance at Gardiner.
Let's put together some ideas on what to check, bring, and double check to prepare for these king of hauls.
I think I have it covered, but want to see what may pop up that I'm overlooking.
Thanks for any and all ideas you may have.

tire pressure gauge, a can of that aerosol spray window washer, your own squeegee to go with said window cleaner. Sucks when you can’t wash your windows, and I’ve leaned on the hwy not to rely on gas stations. It’s nice to when sight seeing and you want to take bad pictures out your windows at least bad pictures will not be full of bug blurs, lol. A roll of paper towels in the truck (one extra for each kid), a rag in the truck, wet wipes.
do you have a jack for changing the tires on the trailer? A good bottle jack under the axle does wonders. Ever change a tire with the junk tire iron thingies oem’s give you, get one of those 4 way ones. Prepare for changing a tire on the side of the road, the more you rv the more the risk it happening. I’ve seen my fill of tire problems on the family rv’s. “look dad at tire is passing us on the hwy” “what’s all this hot grease all over the rim?” “well it looks like we will be replacing this fender” herd that a several times “this tire is bald” In my life time of rving, including full timing, I have learned to look at the tires at every fuel stop.
Assorted plastic cutlery in truck. I bring fruit, wraps and drinks in a cooler, I refuse to be at the mercy of a tiny gas station for food. Flashlights in the truck, get a bunch at a cheap ones and put them in each cubby hole (you might need a lot). Extra tie downs for the bed. I don’t know how cold it will be, (I’m in FL lol) I carry gloves and other warm things when traveling in the mountains. Example = Denver 70 degrees salt lake 65 one of the fuel stops between 35 or less.

seriously trailer lugs and tire pressure should be checked before each trip. I had a buddy that lost a wheel off his trailer on the highway, he was lucky that he could just pull over. WHen i asked the question he replied that he'd never checked them, now he does.
