Default Parks I have camped at

I know that RV.net has one of these setup, but since we kinda aren't welcome over there, I figured I would give my own reviews of the parks I've been to. Please feel free to add yours. Most of these are in Florida.

Anastasia State Park-St. Augustine, Fl
Sites are very small, staff is very unfriendly, park is very crowded, website says spots are larger than they actually are.

Mike Roess Goldhead Branch SP-Keystone Heights, Fl
Spots are very spacious, staff is very friendly, only bad thing is it's in the middle of nowhere and nothing to do in the park.

Manatee Springs SP-Chiefland, Fl
Sites are kinda small, staff is nice, springs are nice, close enough to town if you forget something.

Suwannee River SP-Live Oak, Fl
Sites are great, staff is friendly, most sites include dumpstation, easy access to the river, 15 miles west of Live Oak.

Stephen Foster SP-White Springs, Fl
Great campground, friendly staff, very interesting tours and pioneer village, sites are big.

Three Rivers SP-Sneads, Fl
Some sites are right on the lake, you can bring your boat, sites are big, staff is great, the site we stay on, we pull the boat in behind it, cheapest state park I've found.

St. George Island SP-St. George Island, Flx20
Awesome park, staff is very friendly, right on the beach, sites are big, never very crowded, you can bring a boat, also right beside the bay, one bad thing is the mosquitos, they'll carry you away. It's worth it though!!

Lake Louisa SP-Clermont, Fl
Nice sites, some have dump stations, staff is friendly, great alternative to staying at Fort Wilderness because it's still close, not a lot to do in the park.

Skidaway Island SP-Savannah, Ga
Right in the middle of the city, cramped sites, staff was friendly, won;t be going back.

Black Rock Mountain SP-Clayton, Ga
Very nice park, sites are a little cramped, when they say no larger than a 25 footer, they mean it, the road is very narrow and sharp going up the mountain.

Silver River SP-Ocala, Fl
Sites are huge, staff is nice, close to Silver Springs, very clean park.

Here are the parks I have stayed at:

Deer Creek SP- Mt Sterling, OH
Very Nice park with all blacktop pads. Each site is very large and the staff was very friendly. There are a lot of activities to do and it is close enough to civilization for the forgotten things.

Cross Creek Campground- Delaware, OH
Probably one of the nicest campgrounds that we have been too. They are very friendly and have theme weekends each weekend. Great for kids and families. Sites are not overly large but large enough. ONly downside is that pads are gravel and are a little uneven. But, it is our favorite campground to visit.

Lake Aire Campground- Hollywood, SC (Near Charleston, SC)
Very secluded campground. Great Rates and friendly staff. Sites were grass, which was a downfall with the mosoonal rain that we got when we were there. Facilities were very clean. Nice to visit once, but will probably not be back.

Sun and Fun RV Park, Tulare, CA
Concrete jungle. RV sites mixed in with mobile homes. CATV and wifi. Close to
hwy 99 and railroad tracks, noisey as hell at night. Gal that checked me in
was rude. 2 stars.

Woods Valley Campground, Woods Valley, CA
Plain dirt sites, bring your leveling pads. Popular with full timers and
snowbirds so what is left is mostly only water and electric and a challenge
to back into. No CATV or wifi.Lots of shade trees. Friendly staff. Not far
from San Diego. 2 stars.

Stagecoach Trails RV Resort, Selter Valley, CA
Not the edge of the earth but you can see it from there. No CATV, wifi, air
antenna got no channels and radio got no stations. Had to drive 5 miles just
to get a bar on the phone. Full hookups and large pull through sites. You can
hear a pin drop at night and the sky is awsome. 2 stars.

Gold Rock Ranch, Cactus, CA
Once off the hwy its about 2 miles of tire shredding rocky road to the park.
Plain dirt sites, with full hookup. No CATV or wifi. Air antenna gets Yuma
stations and Mexico. Popular with toy haulers and snowbirds. Cash only. Web
site says close to shopping, if you think 25 miles into Yuma is close. 1
star.

Green Acres RV Park, Redding, CA
A gem. Immaculate park. Full hookup concrete pads bordered with grass and big
shade trees. CATV and wifi, a RV dealership next door, shopping near by.
Popular with full timers so call ahead. Friendly staff. 4 stars.

Camper Corral River Beach Resort, Klamath, CA
Right on the Klamath river and a couple miles from the ocean. Large grass
full hooup sites. Charges for CATV that only gets 4 channels, air antenna got
some stations. Claims to have wifi but it did not work when I was there.
Nearest shopping is about 45 minutes away in Crescent City. 2 stars.

Midway RV Park, Coos Bay, OR
Well maintained with wide full hookup pads, CATV and wifi. Friendly staff. 4
stars.

Coyote Rock RV Resort and Marina, Lincoln City, OR
Sits right on the Siletz river. Large Grass sites with full hookup, CATV and
wifi. Lots of shade trees. Friendly staff. About a 5 minute drive into
Lincoln City itself. You must stop at Barnacle Bills in Lincoln City and try
the smoked salmon, it is great. 3 stars.

Silver Spur RV Park, Silverton, OR.
Large gravel full hookup sites with ATV and wifi. Friendly staff. Some
shopping in Silverton and only 15 miles into Salem. 3 1/2 stars.

Sand Castle RV Park, Long Beach, WA
Large grass sites with full hookup, CATV and wifi. Nothing fancy here.
Friendly staff but they will hasle you if you park your car or truck on the
grass with your rig. 2 stars.

Elma RV Park, Elma, WA
Narrow gravel full hookup sites with CATV and wifi. Sites have almost no room
to park truck. Friendly staff that give you chocolate chip cookies when you
check in. 2 stars.

Bordertown Casino and RV Resort, Reno, NV
Very nice tucked away behind the casino. Well maintained concrete pads
bordered with grass, full hookup with CAtv and wifi. Friendly staff. 3 stars.

Double Dice RV Park, Elko, NV
Nothing fancy here. Gravel pull through sites, full hookup with CATV and
wifi. 2 stars.

Laughlin/AVI Casino KOA, Laughlin, NV
Site so narrow I could not open my awning without hitting the trailer next to me. Full hookups with CATV and wifi but the wifi is useless most of the
time. Huge laundry room but most of the washers and dryers did not work. 2
stars.

Saddle Mountain RV Park, Tonopah, AZ
Well maintained with large gravel sites, CATV but no wifi. 2 1/2 stars.

Tra Tel RV Park, Tucson, AZ
Nothing fancy. Dirt pull throughs with full hookup, no CATV or wifi. Place
was full of snowbirds when I was there. 2 stars.

Cochise Terrace RV Resort, Benson, AZ
Immaculate. Huge gravel backin sites, full hookup with CATV but they charge
for wifi. Friendly Staff. 3 1/2 stars.

Low HI RV Ranch, Demming, NM
Nothing Fancy. Large dirt pull throughs with full hookup, no CATV or wifi.
Lots of snowbirds and full timers there. Friendly staff. 1 star.

Roadrunner RV Park, Demming, NM
Plain dirt pull throughs and backins, full hookups with CATV and wifi. 2
stars.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, NM
Large dirt pull throughs and backins, full hookup with CATV and wifi. Some
shade trees in the park. 2 1/2 stars.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, TX
This place was a zoo. The staff was rude, it took forever to get checked in.
I ended up in a narrow pull through, full hookup with CATV and wifi. Between
the class A next to me blasting music all night and the freeway noise don't
think I slept a wink. Glad it was only one night. 1 star.

Midessa Oil Patch RV Park, Midland, TX
Fairly nice though with kinda narrow sites, full hookup, CATV and wifi. I'd
stay there again. 3 stars.

Serenity Ranch RV Park, Weatherford, TX
Dirt pull throughs and backins with full hookup. Extra charge for CATV and
wifi. 1 star.

Miner's Camping and Rock Shop, Murfreesboro, AR
Dirt/mud backins with full hookup, CATV that was useless and wifi I could
never get to work. Nearest shopping is about 20 minutes away in Nashville.
The staff was not rude but it was like they could care less if anyone stayed
there. 1 star.

Joy-O RV Park, Denmark, TN
Nothing fancy. Dirt pull through with full hookup. Can't remember if there
was CATV or wifi. Friendly staff that likes to chat. 2 stars.

KOA Newport, Newport, TN
Ended up in a fairly good size pull through with full hookup, CATV and wifi.
Park is located in odd place that include going over a creepy narrow bridge
to get there. 2 1/2 stars.

Bear Den Campground, Spruce Pine, NC
Place is a pain in the behind to get to. Over the Blue Ridge PKWY then to a
steep narrow dirt road to the camp. The sites are tiny gravel full hookups on
uneven ground. No CATV or wifi and could get nothing on my air antenna or
cell phone. Also expensive. 1 star.

Walnut Hills RV Park and Campground, Staunton, VA
Tiny fullhookup sites with no room to park tow vehicle. CATV and wifi. 1
star.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, MD
Spendy but this place has it all. Huge full hookup sites with CATV and wifi.
The staff here are incredible. There is a metro stop in the park and the
office can sell round trip tickets for sightseeing in DC. They will come to
you if you need a gas bottle filled. Tight security. Great place. 5 stars.

Woodside Lake Park, Streetsboro, OH
All I remember about this place is mud. Lots of mud.Water and electric only
site and really screwed up spot for the dump station. 1 star.

Martin Campground, Joliet, IL
Nothing special. Full hookup sites on dirt okay for a night but is next to
the freeway and kinda noisey. 2 stars.

wifi. Place was almost empty when I was there. Friendly staff. 2 1/2 stars.

Holiday RV Park and Campground, North Platte, NE
Nice. Large gravel full hookup sites with CATV and wifi. Friendly staff. 3
stars.

If there was a campground on the moon I think it would look like this place.
No trees, no bushes just a bunch camp sites and office and 4 fences. 1 star.

East Bay RV Park, Springville, UT
Very nice. Large full hookup sites with CATV and wifi. Friendly staff. Two
laundry rooms. Great view of the mountains. 3 1/2 stars.

Antelope Valley RV Park, Delta, UT
A pleasant surprise. Nice clean park with large concrete sites bordered with
grass. Full hookups has wifi but no cable. Friendly staff. 3 stars.

A few more:

Jonathan Dickinson SP-Jupiter, FL
Park was ok, had been just burned, sites were laid out weird, staff was nice, close to town.

Wekiwa Springs SP-Apopka, Fl
Park itself wasn't too bad, springs were nice, located right behind a subdivision, did see a couple of black bears, staff was nice.

Spirit of Suwanne Music Park-Live Oak, Fl
Too loud, sites are tiny, staff doesn't care, people party all night, won't ever go back.

Disney's Fort Wilderness-Orlando, Fl
It's a theme park, what can you really expect, sites are paved, dumpstation on site, cable tv, sites are a litte close, but there is a ton to do even if you don't have kids.

Circle B Campground Eminence, MO

Concrete pads, water, electric, sewer. Large site with fire ring and plenty of room for the kids to play. Our spot backed up to the Jacks Fork river which was one of the choice spots in camp...guess we got lucky. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We're booked there for Memorial Day and Labor Day 2010. Guess I better get that camper bought!

Best campground I've ever been to:

Rocky Gap State Park, Cumberland, MD: It's just like the setting for the movie Dirty Dancing. Way cool.
