That's not the problem and I disagree. I have 13,000 miles on this truck, 90% of it towing with that 2000lbs on the hitch. No stress fractures or bending anywhere. At first I was surprised when I had it weighed but after thousands of miles of real world testing it will not be a problem. It tows fine when it's loaded full with water and no bikes on the back. The bumpy problem occurred when I emptied the water and added bikes to the back, no doubt taking quite a bit of weight off the hitch. I think I might have too much weight in the back of the trailer and not enough on the hitch.
