I’ve been looking at McKesh mirrors on the web but can’t tell how well they will fit on my truck. I have a 2002 Tundra Access Cab that has a strip of rubber material along the bottom outside edge of the window. It stands about 3/8th inch high and keeps water from running down the glass and into the door.
Does anyone know if the McKesh mounting brackets allow for that weather seal or will they damage or crush it? I know they hook into the window channel somehow but can’t tell just how. I e-mailed McKesh via their Hensley Mfg web site but have not gotten a response.

I use the McKesh mirror's to tow my Toyhauler. My truck is identical to your's 02 Access cab. They work fine, not the easiest on the eye-but they work. No damge to the window channel/seal. Someone really need's to come out with a classy set of towing mirror's for the Tundra.
McKesh mirrors work well for me. One problem with our trucks is that the cab isn't as wide as a full sized Chev/Ford/Dodge, so more span of the mirrors is needed to see past an 8' wide trailer.
Ken

Good luck getting a response from McKesh (actually I think it's Hensley Mfg.). I emailed them through their website probably two monthes ago, twice and I'm still waiting for a response. Because of their poor customer service I chose to not buy their mirrors. I ended up getting the Cipa 11650 mirrors, see the photos in my gallery. I only have a few photos of them in there now, but I will upload some more that show how it fits. These mirrors are very similar to the McKesh ones and are much more readily available, I bought mine from my local RV dealer.

They list for $89 CAD (about $70 US) each. I got 10% off of that price because I bought my trailer from the same dealer. In the end by the time I would have paid for shipping and the brokerage fees to get them imported to Canada, the McKesh would have probably been a bit more.
I just got the McKesh. The rubber at the window just folds over towards the ooutside. I got the convex rounds too. The brackets are fabulous, easy on/off, and no problems with paint issues. I did write to McKesh as the mirror heads do vibrate too much for me. It is not the brackets, but the mirror heads. McKesh responded that this is the way it is, they are returnable within 30 days, and they will not sell the brackets alone without mirror heads.
I plan to buy some older Ford truck/van mirrors and replace the McKesh heads.
I used to have a Ford Superduty with extendable mirrors. They were fabulous. Wish Toy would develop some like those.
I have the MCKESH mirrors and LOVE THEM. the fit well easy to install and remove. They were $148. I ordered them from their website and had them the next week, with a follow up call from HENSLEY,asking how i liked them.
I have a few pics in my gallery of them attached.
They have not scratched the paint, ans as you can see from the pic, they have been very dirty. That pic was taken the next day after I hit a flash flood, the water was muddy, 2' deep and flowing, i was moving about 60MPH.
Even with all that water and mud , they never scratched the paint.
