Do your mirrors scratch the paint of the trucks. And how easiy are they to take on and off
I just got mine a few months ago and have not actually used them, I am still waiting for my new trailer to arrive, long story. I have test fit them, and the "on and off" procedure seems to be quite painless once you have them initially fitted to the truck. I would say less than a minute per side to re-install and about 5 seconds to remove. I can't comment on the scratching question, I am also concerned about that. The comments that I have heard from most that use the McKesh is that they haven't had a problem with scratching or rubbing. I've thought about maybe putting some of those soft fuzzy seat belt protector strap things on the mirror straps to prevent damage.
I have the MCKESH mirrors and they are awesome. The have minimal vibration, actually next to none. The straps have not scratched my truck so far and we have used them 5 or 6 times. The added convex mirrors you get when you buy them almost elliminate the BLIND SPOTS. I cant say enough good about them. Even the price $128 isnt bad considering they are an important safety factor when towing, and there is no price that my family and YOURS isnt worth.

thanks, i am useing the same cipa mirrors, i hate those, I can see when ur making a turn it cuts off and u cant see. ill check out the mekesh
Which Cipas?
The ones I have (p/n 11650) are almost identical to the McKesh; If you have the Cipa's that I have and don't like them, you won't like the McKesh either.
Did you check out the CIPA UTMs? I find them very good, no vibration. The only thing I had to do was get the metal clips from the company (free) to fit the thicker mirror of the Sequoia. That solved my fit problem for the top clip but interfered with the bottom of the mirror so I made my own and now the fit it very good.
I also ordered the convex mirror for the passenger side mirror and it helped the view down that side of the trailer big time.

Is this the only options for a Tundra? I hate these styles...I don't know about you guys. Don't they make any nicer more expensive ones that slide over the existing mirrors to extend it out? Please tell me someone does. I have a 2006, by the way.
