Exclamation Jayco Baja 10Y or Starcraft 11RT?

I have been looking into these trailers and am wondering if anybody here has either one of these. I would love to hear the pros and cons of each. Also, if anybody hauls an ATV on theirs I would love to hear about it as well. Thanks,

Steve

I too am looking at those campers. I've been leaning towards the 11RT due to the extra room to park the atv on the front and the rigidity of the frame. . What swayed you towards the Baja10Y? I worry that flexing a camper while off road will cause the trailer to become loose. I've rented a few, not Jayco or Starcraft, and by the time we finished our trip, we were pop riveting exterior panels back on.
I should mention that we hauled them far off the beaten path. Old minig roads, BLM roads and such.

Regards,
Blair

The main reason I went with the Jayco over the Starcraft, is the Starcraft can only hold 450lbs in the front and the Jayco is rated at 650lbs. Also, the Jayco has the ramps kind of built in and The price was less too. I thought about them long and hard, but the weight rating was the deciding factor.

I must have overlooked the weight rating on the front. Now I will rethink the whole thing! If you can, send me some pictures of your rig set up. How was the hieth of the hitch as compared to your truck?
Enjoy that new camper!

The weight is distributed between the tires and the hitch. You can add 500# of hitch weight (totaling 720), but that is 1000# of cargo. You would want a weight distribution hitch also at that capacity. Leave the water tank dry, and you can go higher.
