I've got a question regarding this 6-pin and 4-pin trailer connector, see the picture attached. I purchased this at autozone and as you can see it has the ground wire, red, and blue wires. The other 4 pin ends just plugs into the wiring harness. I assume these 3 wires are for a brake controller which I don't have. I only occasionally tow a friends trailer that has the 6 pin male end, but uses only the 4-pin since it has no braking assistance. Do i still need to install that ground wire?
