Arrow PICS incl. 04 Double Cab, Can't find controller plug behinf kick panel

04 Tundra Double Cab Limited. Full tow package.

Hi all. Connected my controller to the pigtail in the glove box...no problem. Then look for the plug down by my feet on the left (see pic) followed the instructions in the manual but cannot find the female end. Look over my photos. Am I missing something?

Here are 2 pics of my lower left of dash area.
Here is a side view of what I see.

Here is a view looking up towards the dash from same

Thank you all.

The "female" or truck end of the plug most likely has a "dummy" plug plugged into into...it's been about 2 years since I hooked my pigtail up but recall the truck plug was very near the floor.

Take another look at the white plug (bottom of your first pic)...if it doesn't have any wires coming out of it (as appears to be the case), try unplugging it from the socket it's plugged into. Then see if that matches the rather strange arrangement of pins on the factory provided towing pigtail.

Others with more recent experience in hooking up the factory pigtail may be able to provide more explicit instructions.

Hi BadFishx2,

Were you able to locate the brake controller plug? I'm having the same problem and have check each of the plugs in the left kick panel. They all seem to be used.

Mine was also wrapped in electrical tape, towards the top of the area in your photos. Once I found it, I realized that I could have reached it without removing the kick panel.

Good luck.

Thumbs up 2003 V6 longbed...electric brake wire in same place as V8's?

Hi,
Was just reading all the chat about finding that plug for he electric wiring of the controller for e-brakes on trailers. Does anyone know if the V6 longbed model, 2003, has the same configuration? Looking to tow a lightweight trailer with e-brakes on rare occasion, flat roads, etc. Would of course like to use the e-brakes on the trailer for safety and legal purpose. thanx for your help...
