Default Best extended side view mirrors

My trailer may be too wide for the stock sideview mirrors to work optimally.

What are you all using to replace or extend these side mirrors ?

THanks.

AFAIK, there are no aftermarket replacements for the side mirrors. I've never heard of anyone being happy with a strap on extension (like Cipa)...they vibrate too much.

The one solution that really works for everyone...though not very attractive and certainly not cheap...are McKesh Towing Mirrors. Get them with the optional convex mirrors and you'll never be sorry...they really work superbly. I think that Cipa is now making a knockoff of the McKeshes for substantially less $$$...don't know how good a quality they'll be though. My McKeshes just went through their 4th season and they still look/work good as new.

I have the Cipa knock-offs of the McKesh. There are some photos in my gallery. I'm not totally satisfied in that they seem to vibrate a fair bit at highway speeds, but they are better than nothing.

I did talk to another Tundra owner who had some of the slip-on type of extension mirrors. I asked where he got them, he said they were actually made for a Ford. Unfortuneatly I didn't bother to ask him what particular model of Ford. He said they work pretty well, and they seemed to look like a pretty good fit.

Interesting. I've never had any vibration whatsoever with the McKesh mirrors ...even when towing under extreme conditions (e.g. towing at 75+ mph, 60 mph sidewinds, meeting semis on narrow 2-lane roads, etc.) Although the Cipa knockoffs look just like the McKesh mirrors, I suspect their construction is not as substantial/heavy duty.
