I have an 01 Highlander that we bought used. We used it to tow our teardrop trailer several times. I installed a reciever hitch and a Draw Tite wiring harness. I recently took out the trailer and noticed that the curbside brake lights weren't working on the trailer. I checked the trailer wiring but figured that it wasn't that because both turn and tail work, just not the brake. I then suspected the harness logic box so I checked the connections. I plugged the trailer into my truck which doesn't use a logic box harness and all the lights worked.
While digging in the spare tire compartment, I found a blue box that said Trailer Wiring converter. Do I just use my own 4 conductor wire to connect to this box? Are there connections inside? Is is this something else. I found a pic of it. Is there another wiring harness that plugs into this box then out to the trailer?
