The wiring is fairly basic. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a 4-pin connector under there already. If there isn't, you can buy plug-n-play adapters at virtually any auto parts store.

On the hitch, Reese or Drawtite or well-known brands. You'll obviously want a Class-III receiver hitch. Most any Class-III should be fine. Hitches are typically designed to be bolted to the frame. Drilling should not be required. You remove existing bumper frame bolts, slide the hitch up there, and put everything back together. You may need to get longer bolts (use Grade 8), but the hitch kit should have instructions on that.

U-haul and other rental trailers typically have surge brakes. No need to do anything on that front.

That truck should have a transmission cooler installed, even though you don't have the tow package. You should be fine.

Places like U-haul can even setup your hitch and wiring.

You'll want to get a class IV hitch. Reese has one they call a CLass III/IV. Makes it kindof cornfusing. Get one with a minimum 7,500 lbs total weight, 750 lbs hitch weight (non-weight distribution). Just did a google for your truck and they run about $200. You can put it on yourself.

A wiring kit is available for the 4 flat configuration. That means you get lights only. For electric trailer brakes and trailer battery charging capability, you would need a 7 round connector. Couldn't find a wiring kit for that. I would feel comfortable doing the 4 flat kit myself, but would probably pay someone to do the 7 round. If you plan on towing anything over 1,500 lbs that doesn't have surge brakes on it (U Haul stuff), I would get the 7 pin done now.
