Default backup lights?

i have a new trailer on the way and i got it with backup lights. do i need to do anything to get the lights to work when im in reverse, or is it already set to do it? (trailer has brakes and i wired up a prodigy for it already) its an 06 tundra dc. thanks!

Nope, just plug-er-in,if you flip the lid on your trailer plug it'll list a dedicated prong for back-up lights. Mike

Yep, the center pin of your 7-way plug should be wired to the reverse lights.

You might want to consider adding additional lights as the backup lights may not be very bright. I installed a cheap pair of fog lights on the sides of my trailer as auxiliary lights.

I have all of my auxiliary lights already installed. The ones in front are wired right into the bright lights. I have experimented , and tried wiring them into the fog lights, but I like the brights better. The back lights I would like to wire into the reverse lights. I tried both wires going into the revers bul bulb, and it did not work. I got a wiring dia, and tried the main reverse wired, and that did not work. Yes I did engage the reverse lights to see if they worked.
