But I would LOVE to have those towing mirrors on my '06 DC! I'm just waiting for them to show up in parts departments/body shops with the off chance they can be easily transplanted onto my '06.

This is what it says on Toyota.com, "Tow mirrors -- power, heated, extendable, with turn signals, black (requires V8 Tow Package)."
You are correct and that's what I read. I took that to mean that they were manually extendable outward for better viewing and not electronic folding. Toyota needs to word it better as aside from that there are now conflicting stories online and I only assume that it's due to people interpreting this differently.

I have noticed different sections sometimes say different things and sometimes the conflict. Then on top of that the manual and accessories brochures from the dealer may say something even different. I wish they would all get on the same page.
when I was talking to my dealer here iin canada he told me they only come on the crewmax!
People have posted here that their trucks have them though and the CrewMax hasn't even been released yet so I think that your dealership is just as confused as the rest of us on this one.

the double cab has them for sure. The one I test drove last friday, 5.7 SR5 towpackage, had them. They extend out manually about 6 inches. They were the desiding factor in my desision to go ahead and by one. Mine will be here at the end of March. 5.7 SRF DC, vibrant Red, TRD, Tow mirrors, tow package, JBL 6 disc, bed rails. The only think I wish it came with bas the bench seats. Oh well.

We know Toyota offers towing mirrors. What we are trying to figure out is whether or not they offer towing mirrors that are power extendable/retractable.

Actually, my original question was whether they power FOLD. I know they are manually extended and retracted.
