Default 01 Brake Control Install

hello, anyone able to let me know how to identify the brake wire i need to tap into to trigger my brake box? (color/location under dash) i have an 01 tundra and was planning on using one of those crimping add a wire connectors that you put the wires inside and then close it with pliers....best description i have at the moment. it worked with my gmc, hoping the tundra is just as easy.

thanks, awesome resource you have going on here. i've had my tundra for 4 days and cant stop taking rides...something i didnt do when i had my gmc slt and it was new, what's going on here? pretty soon i'll be spending the night curled up in the backseat.

Here's a write-up for installing a 7-pin connector and the controller. It might help.

Adding 7-pin wiring and Brake controller to 03 Tundra w/o TO

Should be a green/white wire. Just installed a controller on my '00.

It is the green and white wire. Test it anyway to be sure, but it was on my '01. I just did the install of a controller on mine the other day, and it was surprisingly simple, once I ran the wires. I'll post some pics in the next few days. Oh, I used the crimp-on type splice, and mine is working fine. As long as it's not exposed to too much kicking or weather, you should be fine. The write-up posted earlier was really handy when I did mine. Have fun, and enjoy your new (to you) Tundra!
