Does anyone know how the TRD off-road package effects towing - better or worse? I would think it is a stiffer suspension and would be better.

By the official specs, no.

According to the towing review by TrailerBoats.com it must not hurt it all that bad. Their test Tundra was equipped with the TRD package and against the other competition they rated the Tundra as the highest performer.

I don't think the TRD package has stiffer springs, but the much better valved Bilstein shock/strut setup is a big plus when carrying extra weight or unloaded.
