Truck Bed Tonneau CoversDiscussions about Truck Bed Tonneau Covers.
This is a discussion thread titled "Just got a BakFlip Tonneau Cover and love it", within the Truck Bed Tonneau Covers forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I just installed mine last night. Talk about a piece of cake. The only thing that sucks is they did not give me the 2 knobs that are used to tighted down when the cover is all the way open.
Send Julian an email and he'll mail you out two of them that day. They are really doing a good job with consumer relations with this cover.

Good day, all. I am new here and have been checking things out.
I just got my Bakflip yesterday and got it installed today. I think it took me a total of 45 minutes to install. I love the way it looks but we'll see how the functionality is.
I do have a minor issue with it right now. I'm having a bit of diffculty latching the very last section. One side will latch but the other takes some persuasion. It's almost like the rails are a little closer together at the back of the bed. I checked the fit and the rails are both snug against the bedliner so I can't take them out any further. Has anyone else run into this. It's not a huge deal as it doesn't stop me from closing, it just takes what I think is too much effort. All of the other latches just click right in.
No one else had this issue? Well, I had to make a minor modification by trimming the bedliner where it fits up under the cover for the top of the bed. Seems to have helped somewhat.

Howdy,
Yup, I had the same problem and trimmed a bit of the liner out, the drop in liner/bakflip combo is kind of a PITA especially with deck rails. Mine actually latches when dropped instead of me having to push down each side like I did at first.
First concern with this cover is that the areas where the metal hits the rubber/foam gasket: the gasket is getting permanently squished and I'm wondering if water is going to start leaking through in that area, I'll pay more attention next time it rains.
Still love the cover though.

Mine is as tight as it is going to be. The bed raile that runs along the cab is a little lower thatn the side rails. I sent an email to Julian and Bakflip over a week ago and have not heard anything. A little disapointed.
Does your truck have the standard OEM rails and, if so, can you use them with the BakFlip? When it's folded all the way forward you have zero use of your rear window, right?
what are standard oem rails and how do i know if i have them? i am trying to pick out a good bed lid for my truck
What are the 2007 long bed regular cab owners using for a cover? Really need one and find nothing but short beds and standard bed replies to these tonneau threads.
Anyone have a g2 with bedrug? I have the factory tie down rails. If you lower your rails did you have to trim the bedrug? My bedrug is already installed but I need to decide on a tonneau cover.
