Default HID Retrofit and Tonneau cover pics

I think I totally copied thirdhorseman on this one!

The Bi-xenon projectors work great! I'll try and get some better cut off pics. Check these out for now.

These original blacked out headlights are also for sale. $250 which is exactly what I bought them off of another TS member for. I blacked them out free of charge!

I think some part of the thirdhorsemans were from a BMW...I wish I knew someone who could do the retrofit of some kind of bi-xenon HIDs for me. I am pretty sure I could get my hands on a set of Lexus ones kinda easy...but I don't know anyone who can do crap like that!

On a side note...the ones you're selling - are they HIDs? or are they just the regular halogens blacked out?

and, just an FYI - Infinity is never-ending. Infiniti is the luxury division of Nissan

My bad! Didn't even notice but I did know that! Infinity also is a speaker/stereo company. lol. The blacked out ones I have all the halogen bulbs for... I also have an extra set of 4300k HID's that I will let go for $50 more with the headlights.

Projector retrofits are time and money. I might be interested in doing one though.

How do you like the HID's with the fog lights? Can you tell the color difference with them or did you upgrade the bulbs in the fog lights as well with something more color match?

Yes I actually have 4300k HID Fog's as well. They work great! If you can't find H10's or 9145 HID's you can always just slightly trim a 9005 to fit that slot.

Even a nice upgrade would be Silverstar Ultra 9005 for your fogs since they are 65w over the 42w H10's.

If that's copying me, I'm very flattered!!! The lights look INCREDIBLE and so does the tonneau

Maybe I can copy you...got any pics of your fog lights on with your retros? Once Toyota offers the fogs at a decent price, I'd like to buy a set and get a P&P kit to match the low beams.

Here's another FYI,Lexus bixenons are quite rare and they'd be a pain to retrofit anyway. The bulbs mount to the side instead of the back of the projectors so bulb access would be next to impossible unless you cut out a lot of the headlight housings.

If you can easily get Lexus lights I highly suggest getting LS430s,they have amazing output width-wise and it looks like 2g Tundra headlights are large enough to fit them. And if your source can get more than one set,I'll gladly take a pair

I'll get in touch with the person I know, and gladly get back to you. What I didn't think about when first posting is that Lexus vehicles are not equipped with Bi-xenons, just HID projectors. I'll inquire about the LS430s. Just for reference, because I'm illiterate when it comes to this stuff, what should I be asking for?

Yeah the LS430's rock. Such a wide spread of light. Unfortunately they are not a bi-xenon and thats the best part of HID's! From people I talked too... the FX projectors are second only to the s2000 ones. I have a TSX clear lense on mine. They work great. I know the E55's will fit in there easy though.

I'll try and get some pics with the fogs on as well!

I have a TL Type-S, and those projectors offer incredible color.

I chose the E55s for mine because they are huge (which is good for such a large headlight housing), have a wider beam, and can use both D1S and D2S bulbs.

If you're looking for LS430s,specify 2004-2006 model years. Pre-04 LS430s use reflector HIDs. And make sure the headlights are as complete as possible, junkyards etc. sometimes remove the bulbs and ballasts before putting them up for sale. I've picked up a few from ebay and they lacked bulbs.

If you want bixenon, pretty much anything will fit those big housings.

I know it's the '04 - '06. I am incredibly fond of those model year cars. The headlamps looked pretty ugly before that. Not that it matters because it won't be usable in our truck, but when they introduced the projector HIDs, that's when they put the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) in the car. Which is completely irrelevant. I was looking on ebay, but I don't have an account anymore (don't remember my username and crap) but I'll be looking around. The bixenon part is not that important. I'm more focused currently on the possibility of getting the projector HIDs retrofitted...
