A lot of bad things were said about the earlier ones, How about the G2 type which is newer??

Do a little search for the other threads here and you'll find that those of us who have the G2 are pretty much satisfied. From what I can tell, the G2 is a great deal better than the GI and G1.5.

I am very happy with my G2 after about 2 months. I would recommend it. The only grumble I have (and it's really a minor one) is that you have to open the back flap every time you close the tailgate, otherwise the seal gets pushed under by the tailgate and it can leak.
