Question Fold-A-Cover: G4 vs LS

I am looking at buying a folding cover for my 2000 Tundra AC. The local shops carry the Fold-A-Cover which is looks like will suit my needs.

One shop only has the LS and the other only has the G4. There is an installed price difference of ~$300 so I am wondering if it is really worth the extra cash to go with the G4. My head is starting the hurt !!!

I have searched to see what the real differences are but cannot find anything other than the lock of the G4 is different.

Does anyone own an LS? What have been the pros / cons of it? Is the G4 really that much better.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Default Re: Fold-A-Cover: G4 vs LS

As someone who sells both everyday I will say they are both great products.

However, there are some differences.

THe G4 has the updated latch handles etc. It also has an all metal latching system vs. plastic on the LS which translates to the LS being much easier to break the latch.

For the most part small differences.

Which is why there is only $50 dealers cost difference between the 2. If someone is upcharging the G4 more than $50 they are RIPPING YOU OFF...

We sell the G4 for Tundras for $725 shipped all day long. They install in about an hour, maybe less for a pro. No reason at all for there to be even close to $300 difference. I am all about supporting local shops but don't let them rip you off.

Thanks for the information. I'll look at the G4 and just may be contacting you.

Glad to hear they both have good reputations. Seems like from the posts that the Fold-A-Cover has a better overall rating and durability.

Thanks again for the info.
