If anybody is looking at buying a tonneau cover do not look at the Undercover Tonneau Covers. I have had it for 1 year and have had nothing but problems. So far the rivets have sheared off twice and left my cover on the side of the road. My truck is going into the bodyshop for the second time to have boxsides painted as the cover moves too much and has taken the paint off of the box. Undercover will not do anything to remidy the problem, and have stated to the dealer that they have had problems on the design of the covers for the new Gen. Tundras. I just got off the phone with them and they stated it was installed incorrectly, funny seeing I installed it per their directions and measurements. I am very dissapointed in the product and lack of customer service. I have $57,000.00 invested in my truck and the only issue I have had in the last 50,000 miles is a deffective tonneau cover. Something that simple should not fail. take it for what it's worth but I would not spend my money on one of their covers again.
I have to agree with that last comment. Your experience is not the norm for Undercover. Gosh, we've sold a ton of them and I've seen a problem with only two of them. Strut broke on one and delamination on the other. Both replaced by Undercover with no problems.
Sure I can post pics. i will take some pics of the wear after work, the lid is at the dealer and he has had 12 undercover lids shear off and mess up vehicles. part of the problem is the cheap *** rivets they use corrode and shear off. The Undercover Rep said that they had problems with the new gen Tundras when they first came out, but now they are going back on their word and won't take care of me on the issue. Will post pics soon.
hmm...99 percent of the other undercover and armorlid owners have no issues at all and are completely satisfied. oh well.
I would have to disagree.. I too have ad plenty of problems with the ArmorLid running me $500 in repairs to the truck!! - I don't have any experience with Undercover but they seem like they look a little like ArmorBuilt. All i can say that if they are connected in anyway then they are a "no no" to me!!

yeah not happy at all. The only time it flopped around for a long time is the two times the hinges broke. So maybe 5 miles max. Not a happy camper, it's the only problem i have ever had in 50,000 miles.
As far as my undercover goes it seems bullet proof. It would take a lot to break my hinges, but after seeing your pictures I will definitly keep a eye on thangs. Wish you had pictures of the hinges. Though they don't recomend it my 300# A$$ climbed on the lid to wax the roof a few times. Next time I'll put my wife up there.

I'm not a rocket scientist here or anything.... but 123Gone has been selling these for years and has had problems with 2..... ever.... your dealer has had 12 of them shear off and mess up vehicles? Sounds like your dealer sucks...... I'm not saying you are wrong.... it just doesnt seem to be normal.... what happened to your pictures.... I see you edited your post and removed them....
I did not remove my pics, I want everyone to see the damage this lid caused to my truck. Fact is Sean at undercover admitted on the phone they had problems with the lids on the new Tundras but that they fixed the problem. Once I gave them the serial # on my lid there attitude changed quickly and now they are going to replace my cover and take care of the body damage. As far as the hinge rivets shearing you have two different metals rubbing on each other and I am not a rocket scientist either but I live in a corrosive environment with lots of moisture and snow and cold and they use salt on the roads, and guess what both times they broke were in the winter!!!! Hmmmm. Interesting, Aluminum Rivets rubbing against Steel Brackets, not to mention you could see the pop rivets corroding. As far as editing and removing pics I can definately say I did not do that, although i see it clearly states me doing it, wish I would have known seeing I did not edit this thread at all.
