I was also on the fence with Retrax and Roll n Lock. My options were somewhat limited as I have Step-Side Tundra. Opted for Retrax. Expensive, but less than Roll n Lock.

I have a Retrax. I would never get anything else. One thing for me is the fact of how the cover locks. I have seen some of the "panel" covers not have a good lock and that makes it easier to pry open. Also, I have never had a leak issue here in Chicago. I have family in Florida, and he too has never had a leak issue.
IMO Retrax is the best for security, durability and wear and tear.

The peragon is awful. I trued one and when i ordered they said if i wasnt satisfied i could return it without a charge. When i returned it they charged me $300. I had to dispute the charges on my card.
I purchased the Retrax in July 08 and it's been a great cover. Last week I had a problem with the cover. The back plate was seperating from the rolled cover. I am three months out of warranty. Called Retrax to see if they could do anything for me. NO PROBLEM. Pay for shipping and they sent me a new cover. What more do you want? Great cover and great company.

I've seen that before and it's my understanding that some covers were not assembled correctly due to mistakes by a couple of employees.
The Lexan curtain should not fade much at all, but the other portions are powdercoated aluminum which will fade over time. According to Retrax, you can restore the color by using Turtle Wax polishing compound followed by Turtle Wax carnauba wax. I assume that if you have a new cover, you can preserve the powdercoating by keeping it waxed. Note: Be careful when you use a polishing compound! It will remove the top surface of the powdercoating, so don't rub too much!
