Default Cap vs Tonneau lid

I have had an A.R.E. Z series cap on my 2002 Access cab for about 18 months. I love the cap, howevevr I think I want to change the look from a SUV back to a truck. I am thinking of going to an A.R.E. Tonneau lid. I would appreciate any information on the pros and cons of the Tonneau lid. Thanks in advance.

I have a LS2 and like it. The pros would be that it is a quality tonneau, more aerodynamic than a cap, especially in crosswinds, and the appearance. Cons would be that you are height challenged with what you can haul, and the price. I've got a BedRug under mine and have the world's largest trunk.

Do you have any idea how much the LSII weighs?

I'm the exact opposite. I've had a tonneau cover on mine for the past year or so, but wanted a more rugged off-road look, so I just installed a Can-back Topper a month ago. I like having much more room back there to transport stuff and so I can put my dogs back there instead of in the cab...They didn't like it under the tonneau cover...

The A.R.E. brochure says the LS2 tonneau on a full sized truck is about 120 lbs. I've never had mine off the truck, but I've heard it takes two guys to remove it.

I was wondering the same thing so I went to a dealer to see for myself. I picked one up that was laying on the ground, but this is not something I would want to remove on my own (yes, it weighs every bit of 120 lbs.). I concluded they are rather permanent and not something you could easily remove if you suddenly found yourself at Best Buy and needed to but a 60" RPTV in the bed. Also, the dealer warned me that due to its size, it is ill-advised to drive with the lid propped open even if it is tied down securely. I decided to go with a soft tonneau. However, the A.R.E. LSII really looks nice.
