Default Homemade Tonneau Cover

I am looking for a low cost way cover the bed to keep items in bed out of sight.

It's for a '03 Tundra AC (shortbed).

It does not have to be weatherproof nor openable. The only access to bed is via tailgate. The tonneau cover will only need to last a few weeks.

Is it possible to make one with plywood and some bolts/hooks?

The bed has a pocket in each corner, and the bottom of each pocket has a small hole about 1/2". Stick some long eye bolts ~10" in the hole with eye up. Then install nut, washer, bed pocket, washer, nut (from bottom up). Cut some slits in the plywood and stick the eye through them. Add padlock.

If possible, you might want add a center support leg to your contraption.

Take some pictures

So you want a tonneau that doesn't have to be weatherproof nor openable, but you can't use a tarp? I'm confused. Not secure enough how? From someone gaining access to it, or something flying out of the bed?

Regardless, you can't really take the cheap way out on this. If you want security, you need the real thing. Otherwise, a tarp and bungee cords will work fine to secure anything down inside the bed.
