I finally did my first one on mine.Been letting the dealer do it didn't have the time but now that time is available I did it took 7qts to get it to top line. Also did the rear differential.I'll continue to do it so I don't have to go sit at dealer and wait also to see hat's going on with my truck.
I use Castrol Syntec and Purolator filters. I used Catrol GTX dino in my previous vehicle and sold it with 140K and the engines pressure tested as if it had been rebuilt! When you do it yourself, you know everything is done right.
Usually I do my own oil changes except in the cold winter months and my dealer only charges me around $10.00 or so since I have an Owners club card, I also like the fact that they use Valvoline which is what I have always used anyway.
Around here any shop will take it in. By law any store selling it has to take the used oil.
My local repair shop heats with used oil so he is happy when I drop off a gallon or two.
i started changing mine about 3 changes ago. i use mobil one synthetic 5w30 and fram filters. im going to start using mobil 1 filters as well most likely
