overlay, aluminum, high quality. pretty look! easy install like a breeze. If you'd like see exact nothing behind the grille, I got a trick 4 u which is: spray some black color on your original stuff, that will really work. Actually, this grille is perfect enough after installation. Just wanna share that tips with u
I got the carriage works bolt over grille and I love it... but you can see the old grille behind it. If you don't want to see your old grille expect cutting. Installation of the bolt over is like 5-10 minutes, very easy.

The which one is best question has been asked several times. I have seen both installed and they are of equal quality. In fact I doubt you could tell the difference between them setting side by side.
Grille 4 U doesn't offer Toyota Logo reattachment kit like Carriage works for the straight across grill but I saw on another post thread where a guy found his own means. Wasn't difficult.
I will be going with grill 4 u 4 piece set and using the extra cash for chrome door handles and mirror covers.
I tried buying one of the cheap 4 piece billet grille sets off ebay. The company was called Apex Auto parts out of SoCal. It ended up being a POS that was assembled wrong. A couple of the slats interfered with the raised portion of the Toyota logo. All the welds looked sloppy and it didn't look like they used a jig to space out the slats correctly. They did take it back and refunded all my money.
I'm going to hold out for someone to make a hexagonal patterned punch/waterjet insert.
I just saw this "plastic" one on EPay... Anyone got pictures of it actually on.... or comments?

I bought the Lund grille insert (# 89149). Great quality and look (although a little pricey). I think it looks the best out of all of them. I'll try and post pics later. Here is a link to another member that has one in the mean time:
