Question Has anyone had a Sunroof/Moonroof installed on an 07 Tundra?

when i purchased an 07 tundra cc ltd in april, one thing i wanted was a sunroof/moonroof. the dealership told me the only way to get one "factory" installed would be to send the truck back to the port, even though the vehicle is made here in the USA. obviously, that was not happening. part of the deal was that the dealership was going to have the sunroof/moonroof installed, of course i had to pay for it, which i did.
a decision i am regretting.
there were never any warnings or indications of possible problems from having a sunroof/moonroof installed in a tundra from the sales team, the service dept or the company installing the roof.

has anyone ever had a sunroof/moonroof installed in an 07 tundra? were there any problems??

Apparently, due to the structure of the roof, you can't put a moon/sun roof in a DC...there's a beam that runs across the cab roof.

I like Cobb service too thus why i go there but as far when shopping for a new Truck I wouldn't consire them again Im Not too pleased with the sales attitude there either..

p.s The Crewmax has the Factory sunroof as an option it's Not on the Double cab. From my understanding from attending the Detroit auto show the side airbags have something to do with a Sunroof on the dc Not being open also take in mind the Double cab has Roof metal luggage Strips surports and the Crewmax does not close to the header ..

i wonder why no one at the dealership or the installing company told me that a sunroof should not be installed??

we have also contacted another dealership and asked a sales person why sunroofs are not options in the tundra but they are in the crewmax, he told us the sunroof is model specific, but there is a toyota installation location here in ga that can 'factory' install a sunroof in a tundra...

i wish i would've kept my mustang!!!

Check this video out it shows the crewmax roof. You will see in the video the crewmax roof stop's the luggage surport in the roof right in the dead center in the Double cab it goes all the way to the Header when you install a sunroof it has to have a flat surface usually so I tend to beleive Toyota did that on purpose.
