Tow mirrors on backorder?
When I was looking for my truck, the salesman asked me what I was looking for. I told him I wanted an SR5 CM with Bucket Seats and Tow Mirrors in any color except for black or white (I figured it would be an easy order to fill). They had none in stock, we agreed to have them swap the mirrors when they got some in. Granted, I'm in no hurry, I'd just like to swap them out before something happens to these.
It's been over a month and I still don't have them. The salesman called a couple weeks ago and said that the Service manager was looking for some and he would get back to me in a few days. A few days go by and no call. I called the salesman and told him that I was going to sechdule service and I'd be talking to service manager directly.
Yesterday, the Customer Relations Manager called me asking if the tow mirrors had been resolved. I told him no, and he said he'd call back after he found out what was going on. I don't remember details because he woke me up. When he called back, my wife answered because I went back to sleep. She told me that he said the mirrors are on national backorder. If they don't find a set within 48hours, they will pull a pair from a truck in stock.
I'm pretty happy that they are the ones calling me. I'll find out tomorrow what they are going to do. Has anyone had any difficulty getting a set of tow mirrors?
