Default New toy is home

Finally got my Tundra, delayed at the port for some unknown reason. It was released from the port on 05 june but the transport truck did not have room so it left the port at 7:30 on the 5th. Unfortunately I left to go to Tennessee on that date so I did not pick it up until last friday. Hard cover install was delayed several hours, unknown why. Got a free bug shield out of it but they are being redesigned so I have to wait for that to be shipped to me. Having the Toyota fog lights installed in two weeks. saved $200 by having a friend in the parts department get them. Not going to change out the light switch, instead he will put a switch similiar to the rocker ones already installed. Windows tinted last Saturday. Tinting is very close to the rear. Don't know if it's legal and don't care. Cost me $54 for the two front windows and the windshield strip. Ordered the window deflectors from weathertech. Considering buying the headlight protectors also sold by them. My baby is Salsa red pearl, 5.7L, 6 speed tranny, tow package, key colored running boards, dual exhausts auto rear view mirror, hard tonneau cover. Haven't deceided on changing to the 20"wheels as yet. Only have 400 miles on it but I am already thinking about changing the oil and putting in the synthetic 0-20. Had to rearrange my garage because of the tow mirrors. My 05 Tundra limited fit very nicely even though it was at an angle, but even with the same angle, because of the mirrors it would not work. Could not get out of the truck even with the left mirror folded.
My only problem is that no matter where I go people want to get a guided tour of the vehicle. Saturday my son took me out to a Carrabbas for fathers day and when I went back to my Tundra where I had parked it in a empty lot, and three couples were giving it the once over. One of the wifes kept pulling her husband toward the restaurant because she did not want hime to get any ideas, I guess. Had to show them the engine and the interior. Thought they were going to ask me to take them for a ride.
Anyway I have been trying to post some photos of the truck but alas, whatever I do they won't post. Guess I must be doing something wrong or not doing something I should be doing, either way no photos as yet.......
