Default Oil Deal

Went to my selling dealer this morning to get plastic credit card key cut for my door. Ask about their price for 0W20 Toyota synthetic. They gave me case price of $48.00 for 12 quarts. I have never heard of it being this low. Dealer is Rosner Toyota in Fredericksburg, Virginia for those near.

Parts lady said 0W20 is first choice for Tundra 5.7 service. She is nice lady.

Since Mobil Oil manufactures Toyota Oil and walmart sells Mobil 1 in a 5 Qt jug for 20.00 bucks now! i would think it would be a toss up only problem is walmart has no 0W20 only 5W20 which works, same price just different bottle. 0w20 is not to be found at dealerships in NM yet?

Looks like 00920-1QT0W

There is a TH0-73-A1 in front of the part number.

I bought 2 cases of the 0W-20 Toyota Synthetic and 3 filters at the time of my truck purchase back in early February. Paid 3.12 a quart or 37.44 a case and 3.70 for each filter. Yes, I have a great dealer!

Does anyone understand the "true" difference between
0W20 and 5W20 ?
There is NO NEED for 0W20 nor the assumptive/potential of superiority by the consumer between the respective products.
It keeps coming up time and again .....

Have you looked at the maximum safe operating temperature of full synthetics vs dino oil?

Owners manual states 0W20 preferrred as I recall. Better MPG. Since I have prepaid, I won't settle for anything less!
