Default Battery keeps dying after amp install

I had a line-out-converter, amp, and speakers installed a few weeks ago. Since then my battery has drained twice over night.

Last night I took out the line-out-converter and installed an Eclipse HU. Today the battery drained again.

I don't know if it is coincidence with the amp install, or if something was wired incorrectly. I checked the wiring and it appears to be correct, power on is wired to ACC from stereo, main power is straight to battery with inline fuse, ground is straight to floor.

Any body else having charging problems? Any suggestions?

Yea see if the amp is on when the acc is off. Amp might be bad and drawing power internally.

Did you connect the "Remote" wire to the radio?

my thoughts are either bad amp, or you remote wire is connected to the wrong thing and is on all the time. we'll need some info on where it's connected.

yep, ats what i'd say. if the amp has lights, see if they're on when car is off. also, unscrew remote wire from amp, stick a meter on it, check for power when car is off to see if it is keeping amp on(i say remove wire from amp b/c if amp is bad internally, it might be feeding back into that terminal and tell you that remote wire is giving power when not.) Well, if amp is bad, its obvious what you gotta do.
On the other hand, if you aren't getting any problems there, just to make sure something extraordinary isnt going on, you might want to unhook it and see if it goes dead again. i'm just a simple guy though, thats about all i know to test also

The remote amp turn on wire is connected to the ACC wire from the stereo.

are you positive?? I'm not questioning your knowlege but these are new trucks and not too many people have wire diagrams as of yet. like the last guy says maybe it's a manufacture defect disconnect the amp for the night and see if it's dead in the morning. get a poacket tester and check your voltage tonight then in the morning do the same test and see what it says. best of luck man, that must suck.!!!

If you used a harness kit there shouldn't be a problem.

Problem... The acc wire from the stereo is suppose to be connected to a wire that is only hot when the key is in the "on" or "accessory" position. If you aren't using a wiring kit, you need to make sure the vehicle wire you're using is hot only in the acc AND on key positions. Check this with the key in both positions.

The yellow wire is 12 constant to maintain presets and clock

The red wire only gets power once the key is in the acc position or when the ignition has been triggered. Is what turns the deck on.

The Blue wire on your deck's harness is to the power antenna, if you have one.

The BLUE/WHITE wire IS THE AMP TURN ON WIRE. The headunit uses this wire to signal your amp to draw power from the car's battery.

Issues:

whoever hooked up your inverter may have hooked it up to a constant hot and the inverter has been left on.

whoever hooked up the amp to your first deck(factory?) chose the wrong wire to trigger the amp turn on.

You didn't check the wrong wiring from the amp install before you installed the Eclipse deck and the acc is a constant hot.
