I had a clunk from day one and was told by 2 dealerships that is was normal but i wouldn't accept that. Then it would shutter between 30 and 40. when do you have the clunk??? mine has a clunk going from reverse to drive

Well my truck is in surgery this morning 2nd tranny hope it works ,I also have the clunk tech said maby some grease will fix it , I will address that after tranny problem is solved.

If surgery is succesful bigdave I want to address the TMAC issue maby you can enlighten me in in the proc. to follow or give me some tips. I hope 3rd time will do it.

Let me know when you are ready to talk to TMCA. They really owe you for your troubles and are very easy to talk to. I worked with a guy who really let me vent, which later on I told him he was really professional and calm, considering my initial anger on the phone. I thanked him in the end.

Doctor called about 5pm cst said transplant was a success, he needed to keep patient untill tomorrow to ck all fluid levels ect. , so I will go buy sometime around noon , I will let you know if it is a go or no.

Make sure they wash'er up. They delivered mine dirty. You'd think cause my tranny went out, they could at least wash my ride, but they didn't. Well, what are you gonna do.

Picked up the baby around noon no more tranny shutter new upgraded tranny works better than old version, will try out for a few days just to be sure.

I would just like to add my name to the list of failed transmissions. I was towing a round bail hay wagon "around 7000lbs" for my father through the field and it died! Lights on the dash lit up like a christmas tree.
My truck went to the shop a week ago yesterday. I got a phone call from shop today saying it need a tranny. They will have one by end of next week !!
I love the truck. The only problem I have ever had with it was some kind of relay that wouldn't let it stay running. It took about a week for the service shop to figure the problem out and fix it.
So I am looking at about 3 3 1/2 week total loss of truck to get fix, what a disappointment

Same with me, 4700 miles. It took 2 weeks to ge me on the road again with new tranny, but that's only because I opened a case with TMCA and was originally told 3-4 weeks. Toyota is still not saying anything about the exact problem with their 6-speed trannys. Even though my new tranny seems to be good, it left a bitter taste in my mouth, because all the domestic trucks I've owned were great. THis is the first time a truck has crapped on me. You should minimally ask TMCA to make a payment for you and ask for extended warranty.

Sorry to here that. I'd hate it to happen to me; however my dealer as all do in the tampa area provide lifetime warranty on all 07 tundra powertrains.

Wow, Toyota sure has done a great thing by giving everyone in Florida a LIFETIME warranty on Tundra powertrains in Florida. That's the best in the whole world!! Sorry someone put you in a Ford rental, considering your Tundra never has been in the shop. You the man.
