anybody install CB RADIO...

hi.... i just bought cheap cb radio at wall mart $35 cobra 19 ultra III.
but, i have no idea what I'm doing... anybody can give me good LINK for cb radio... or i have to buy the book for dummies...

and anybody install in there truck...no where to put it....
please help....

I put a CB in my 2001 Tundra. A complete waste of money in my opinion. Listening to those truckers talk got old in a hurry and I just never turned in on after a while. Everyone had a CB in the 70's, but now only truckers are on the air and I can't stomach most of thier conversations

If you must install it, follow the instructions in the box. It's not that difficult. The most difficult part will be deciding where to install it.

wow most folks just compare these trucks to 3/4 ton trucks. You seem to be takeing the towing ability to a whole new level.

seriously all you neeed to do is run 12 volts to the c b and ground it. you could use one of the 12 volt acc. plugs in the console if you have the console.you could also mount the c b in there. seems like a personal prefance is on your side.

I use one when traveling with a group of friends in their trucks. Since I only use it occationally, I use a lighter plug for the power, a magnetic antenna, and just run the antenna wire out the rear door. I wedge the radio between the passenger seat and the console. Takes about 30 seconds to install or remove.
