Default newbie question: turning off autolock function & chirp when you lock the truck

I just got my Blue Streak, SR5, TRD, Double Cab delivered to me a few hours ago.

I want to turn off the autolock function as well as the lamp and tone upon locking the truck with the remote. The manual indicates this can be done through the "multi information display" using the info/select/setup buttons on the dash. My problem is that I don't have the "multi information display" on my SR5.

The manual says go to the dealer, but I am hopping someone here can provide the directions. I figure someone has done it or has access to a Toyota factory shop manual.

Thanks!

It takes a computer at the dealer if you don't have the MID.

Most Sr5's dont have the MID. I remember reading my manual my 1st night with my truck 3 am in the morning, and rinning out the truck excited to do some adjustments only to find no Multi Info Display on the Odometer.

That is exactly what I did...pushed those damn buttons for several minutes trying to figure it out.
But having disabled autolocks on various other cars over the years and knowing that it can be done if you have MID, means somebody here probably knows how to do it. Worst case I go to a local dealer...I bought the truck from a dealer 5 hours away because none locally had the one I wanted.

I have an SR5 but it came with the auto locks turned off. I was thinking about having it turned on but I did lock my keys in my last truck once....dooooh! An Easter Egg fix would be the ticket....if there is one.

I had to go to the dealer to have the Door lock/unlock feature disabled. NO CHARGE for this particular service. I don't have the Info Display. Just call first to make sure they can accomodate you for sure so you won't be wasting your trip. It took them 1/2 hr from the time they took the truck in till they they paged me to pick up the truck. I want to muffle the piezo beeper a little bit but I have not found its location.

If I don't have the MID - will that mean that I won't know my Avg. MPG's? Sucks, if this is the case!!

I see the temparature next to my clock. I believe you must get the double cab or extended cab to get mpg on your dash it was not offered for the regular cab I wanted it but couldnt get it no matter what package I got.
