YES, PLEASE do and explain in more detail where this relay if found. I looked under the hood and seen a headlight relay in the fuse box but now someone else mentioned it is in the cab of the vehicle so I'm not sure on this. I just need a little guidance and I will be tackling this mod.

I removed the 81980-0c020 flasher relay and replaced it with the 81980-0c010 falsher relay on my crewmax , and I also have NO DRL function. It may be like the tow mirrors, unless you have heated mirrors you won't have all the functions of the tow mirrors. There may be some thing that some people have on their tundras that allow just replacing the relay and making the DRL feature work and other tundras don't have that feature. I see that some people plug in the relay and it works fine and some plug in the relay and get no DRL function. What options do the people have that had sucess with the relay have that the people that it didn't work don't have?
NO, mine are not working.
I also think it is an issue with options and/or model of truck, (SR5,LTD?).
I'm going to see my dealer first and have them check with Toyota and see where that gets me.

Well I only have the SR5 Package (with heated mirrors, cold package mud flaps, six disk radio, OVER priced carpeted floor mats with sill protector, useless sliding rear window and bed liner) so has anyone here done it with that package and got the DRL lights working ? ? ?
DoubleCab 4WD 5.7 LTD in California: added new relay, NO DRL. I have a pretty basic Ltd package - nothing unusual. I was disappointed that my 2000 Tundra SR5 came with them, but a 2007 Ltd does not.
I went to the dealer today. The "service advisor" had no clue about it. The "tech" looked at a schematic, but gave up and said that he did not know either.
HERE"S THE ANSWER...
Dealer called me back today..
Yes to ADD DRL, you must have the correct Flasher unit,
BUT
the dealer has to use their scan tool and ACTIVATE it in the ECU.
It's a 'you can wait' type procedure.
Why some have said on other threads that their's have worked without going to dealer, he didn't have an answer.
For those of you that DON'T want DRL, I'm sure you could go to your dealer
and have them deactivated without buying a NON DRL flasher since it's not a gov't mandated safety feature.
I can't get in to dealer for a week or so, but anyone that does, let everyone else know!!
