Default Thinking of adding the smart key system....

what would it take to install the smart key system from the new highlander or camry... is the system linked into the ecu or is it a control box on its own

anyone have diagrams for both our ignition circuit and smartkey circuit

I can't imagine the system isn't integrated into the ECU and that the swap would be prohibitively difficult/expensive.

I own a Camry with smart key and I would think it would be a PAIN!

I love the smart key in our TCH.

That being said it's not a very viable option to add after the fact right now. I looked into it a while back for my Supra and it's just not something you'll want to do at this point. It's not as functional or useful as the smart key that comes with the TCH.
