Default 5.7L oil drain plug gasket stuck

Did the first oil change today -- everything went fine except I had a heck of a time trying to remove the factory gasket from the oil drain plug. It isn't the aluminum crush washer that some have described on this forum. It's the same hard rubber type as the dealer replacements that I have.

Anyway, it's stuck so tight to the drain plug head that I never got it loose (didn't want to bugger it up and still not get it off), so just reused it this time.

Has anyone had a similar experience and any success with this?

Thanks!

You sound like a candidate for a Fumoto oil drain valve, check 'em out on the web, I've had them on several trucks over the years, great product.

I've looking every where to find part numbers for the 5.7. I use fram oil filters and no one has a clue what filter it takes ,were did you get your filter. Also do you have any other part #'s. I'm still looking to cross referance a number for a replacement high flow airfilter.
