The easiest way to disable the chime is to get a seatbelt extender from your dealer and snap it in.
People say that but I haven't seen anybody say that they got one. When I asked at a dealership, they said that they would have to measure the user to see if they needed one.

Just did the seat belt sensor change. It could not have been easier. Pop the sensor out of the buckle, remove the spring and a little tape - done!
I have only had my Tundra a couple of weeks. The stupid seatbelt sensor was driving my wife and I nuts! You could not put anything on the front passenger seat without setting the thing off - even something that weighed 20 pounds seemed to set it off.
Now does anyone know how to deal with the window lock. I would like to be able to lock the windows but control any of them from the driver's control. With the lock on you can only control the driver's window.
I too, disabled both the driver's seat & the passenger's seat belt alarm. With the non-stop & unable to clear--"Passenger Air Bag off", I put the passenger side's spring back in; however, I have a 3 rifle hanger attached to the back of both front bucket seats and with 3 rifles in the "pockets", the seat belt chime goes off evidently from the weight hanging off the back of the passenger's seat. I now have to reach across & buckle the seat belt on the passenger's side which is not a safe thing to do whilst driving!!
I am going to email my dealership's service manager to see if they will accomodate me by disabling said alarm.
I tried cutting a seat belt buckle out of an old credit card like someone suggested from this or another forum but it didn't work. Maybe a welding shop can cut one out for me(??).

Instead of going to all that trouble, just go to a junk yard and cut one from an existing seatbelt. You could even go to the online junkyard sites and never leave your house and have it mailed to you.
I only removed my drivers side spring. Does this mean my airbag will not work now? I havn't had any lights come on saying no airbag. Does this only apply to the pass side??
The post quoted above is only an example, but why oh why on earth are you guys asking questions like these to TS members? This is a public forum, people answering these posts aren't electrical or mechanical seatbelt engineers that work for Toyota and who designed the Tundra. What the hell are you thinking asking these questions AND trusting the answers you are getting as being true? Sure, some folks on here are pretty familiar with electronics and wiring diagrams, but they can't tell you for certain how the wiring system is on the Tundras and whether or not this mod will deactivate your airbags.
It says clearly in your manual that you can have Toyota turn the chime off for the passanger seat, so go use that route. It's the only safe route there is.

I don't care what the manual says. When it comes to deactivation, all dealers approached to date by TS members say they WILL NOT DO IT. They won't even give you a seatbelt extender without a prescription from a dealer maintenance rep who measures your waist. That's the point of all this.

There's people on this forum, in this thread actually, that have said they went to the dealer and the dealer deactivated the belt chime on the passanger seat, which is what I described above...???????

Take your time, and use the true buckle as a template. I did two in about 10 minutes by tracing onto the credit cards and using scissors for the big cuts (mostly) with small details being done with a single-edge razor. I had to fine-tune to center hole, but once it was done, worked perfect. Ejects powerfully, too!
