actual curb weight
Can anyone who has actually weighed your truck post the actual curb weight, scale used, and truck configuration?

Re: actual curb weight
Mine was close, but over what they listed. You have to add all the options you have, your weight, and gas weight. Mine with a full tank and me in it (160lbs) is over 6000! Was weighed on a new scale before going over Teton Pass.

Re: actual curb weight
My DC Ltd weighed just what the owner's manual and brochure states plus maybe 80lbs. Can't find the paper I wrote it down on right now, but if I recall it was right at 5400 plus a few. That's a heavy built truck for a half ton, only 600lbs. less than my Ford diesel 3/4 ton.

Re: actual curb weight
In Pa you have to have the truck weighted if you did not purchase it in Pa. I purchased mine in Jersey so I had to have it weighed. with a full tank of gas it is an 06 DC with 4 wheel drive and it weighed in at 5220. It is an SR 5

That's not the curb weight, it's the gross vehicle weight rating. Very different.

Re: actual curb weight
Curb weight = dead weight of unloaded vehicle
GVW = Gross Vehicle Weight = total weight allowed, truck plus load and passengers.

Negative, 4WD LTD DC. Reading right off the spec page from the Tundra brochure I got from the dealership empty weight is 5445/5645 for a 4X4 DC standard bed. I weighed both axles at the local state highways truck scales and mine was just what the spec page says.
