Default CrewMax with Westin nerf bars (pics)

My Westin Platinum series came this afternoon so I had a chance to get the drivers side installed on my lunch break ($321.69 inc shipping from pickupspecialties.com). They aren't completely C-shaped. I was hoping to avoid potential end-cap issues (getting them knocked off). These do have plastic end-caps. I guess you can't have a C-shaped nerf bar unless the attachments to the truck are at the ends. They attach to the body of the truck, not the frame. Brackets are very sturdy. They sit relatively close to the body compared to some others I have had.

As you can see from the shipping box, they are thick but the CrewMax makes them look skinny in the pics.

I was thinking about those for my DC. Did the instruction say anything about how much weight they are rated for? How sturdy do they feel, could a couple people get on them without flexing? Thanks.

I don't know just yet because I only had time to do one side and not real tight, yet. It's attached to the body with 8 large bolts on each side. The brackets are very heavy duty. I can take more pics of the attachment points if you're interested. No weight rating.

They are black. Here are the brackets. Pretty masssive if you ask me. They are as heavy as they look. The bars pretty much are part of the body after 8 bolts on each side.
