I am trying to figure out how to disable the beeping that is associated w/ locking/ unlocking my doors. I have checked my owner's manual, and on the Feature Customization it says, " Select the item to customize unit w/ the 'SETUP US/M' button." BUT this does not display any customizable "units". It just scrolls through the inst mpg, avg mpg, miles till empty etc.
From what I've researched from using the search function you HAVE to have the Multi-Information Display to proceed w/ this mod - which I do. BUT how to you make the MI Display toggle between Keyless Entry > Keyless Entry Relock Timer > Keyless Entry All Doors Unlock > Door Auto Locking etc, etc...
Please note that I have used the search function, and still have come up empty handed. Every tread that raises similar question has a post that replies, "use the search function", and points members to this PDF file that seems to be a tool for the mecs at a service center. It seems like the doc is for ppl who do not have the MI display, and need to hook up a computer to make adjustments.

This custimization is a limited only feature, Part of the "optitron gauges" ... The Multi-info display that is available on an SR5 is displayed on the center dash with the clock and available Sonar. The MID on the SR5 doesnt support this feature.

OR...... you can do what I did. Just look between the bumper (the 1" gap) under the drivers side headlight. Get your fob and start clicking away..... see that little black piece of plastic a few inches up with 3 holes. Piezio horn, about 1" by 1.5". Now I just go under the truck with a 2' x 1" stick and stuck a piece of duct tape ( adhesive out of course) on the tip of the stick and put it over 2 of the 3 holes and made it alot quieter. Now I don't irritate the neighbors when I get home at 2am. Now how's that for a MOD?
I like it! I will be under my truck in about 5 minutes with some duct taoe. Thanks for the mod!!!! We Tundra owners like these inexpensive mods that take our pleasure to a higher level!!!
