Just say to the track officials: "You have to be kidding.... this is a half ton with just CAI, how could it possibly be doing 13s!!"

EDIT:
Here's a video of my best run, my dads new to the camera man thing as you can tell here. You don't actually see me run the 1/4 but you here him say my time lol YouTube - 1/4 1st Run, Stock 5.7L RCSB Tundra
Actually you need a good helmet. It has to have a Snell rating, which newer motocross helmets would. I am not sure if a bicycle helmet would pass tech.
Just messing around thinking what if, so I went out and weighted the spare tire, it's 80lbs freaking pounds! Then I thought, what if I just run with maybe 5 gallons in the tank, and one gallon equals 6lbs. So all together that means I could shave 160lbs off my truck. Which would bring me down to 14.021 in the 1/4, PLUS I'm going on a diet soooo......lmao
...and your hitch, and tailgate. The only problem is these weights are all in the correct spot, right over the driving wheels. Removing them may cause a traction issue. Only one way to find out.
I sure hope so! Just realized, I don't have 4wd! lol
Get a set of BFG drag radials, that should get your 60' time below 2.0 which in turn will give you a 13.XX timeslip.......Congratz man !!!! Those are some real encouraging runs you made with evidence for all those "naysayers" out there. Thanks for sharing.

Still waiting to see someone play guinea pig and install N2O on their 5.7
That would be me !!!! As soon as I get some baseline pulls on the dyno, and when i get my hands on some edit software "project 500HP" as noted in my sig starts

You have peaked my interest! How soon do you expect you can get your dyno run and start installing the nos? If it works out good for you I might take the chance. Only thing I'm scared off it breaking something and then having to buy a whole new engine
darn i'm jealous, took me a while to figure out what RCSB means. then i saw the truck. i have a DCSB 4x4 trd 5.7 blah blah blah. once i break it in i'll lose some weight and take it to the track. wonder if the back seats come out too.
I am going to try some nitrous on my Gen 1 when the warranty elapses. Nothing serious, maybe just a 50-75 hp shot with dry plate.
Nitrous is brutal on automatic transmissions because of the way nitrous magnifies low end torque over high rpm power. The real wear and damage occurs during the upshift at full throttle because the trans has to absorb that wicked torque rise as the revs drop for the next gear during the upshift.
The Tundras have drive by wire though, which I believe cuts throttle for an instant during the upshift. If that could be made to work with the nitrous system...
