'07 Tundra DC component speakers question

I tried this over at Audio, Electrical & Wiring but didn't get much of a response....none, actually.

For those of you who have replaced your front speakers with a component set, where did you place the tweeters? I have no desire to go back into the dash with them. Did you guys use the A-pillars?

Please help me out here.

I did the dash... sounds pretty good, but the stage is a little left by about 4 feet, lol. In other words the stage sounds like it is centered on the speaker in front of me on the dash. I am building kicks in the floor so hopeful this will drop it a little and separating the speakers with individual channels on the amps will allow me to adujst volume on them independantly.
