Default Wata is the weight rating of the Ball Mount?

As an accessory, you can buy a "Ball Mount" from Toyota when you purchase your 07 Tundra. What is the weight rating of that item. I think it is stamped on the tounge portion of the ball mount.

I got one and I think it is a 10K ballmount. It it too high for my trailer so it is buried in my garage somewhere.

When I bought my DC a few weeks ago, I asked what one would run with a 2 inch ball. I was quoted something like 95 or 98 for the mount and 24 for the ball.

I went out and bought one at my local auto parts store for 30 dollars with a 6000 # rating. All I tow is my fishing boat and that is no where near 6000 pounds. The salesman actually told me to go and buy commerical and save a few bucks.

Just something to think about.

The one I got (included with the truck) says 11,000lbs. I can't remember what the tongue weight rating is though.
