Has anyone used a automatic car wash with a soft roll up tonneau cover with the Tundra. If so any problems. When winter arrives I like to keep the salt off the vehicle as much as possible.
You know I bought a car wash at the gas station and the damn wash has been closed 3 times now that I have tried to use it. I havent yet, but Extang's directions say I can. Guess I'll find out.
In my area we have a elaborate car wash (several of them) called Delta Sonic that your vehicle rides along a conveyor belt for about 200-250 feet then blown dry and finally hand dried by their employees.
just make sure you go to a touchless / brushless car wash.... don't want to get swirlies in your paint

Not dealing with covers, but with taking the Tundra through an automatic car wash.
There is a car wash near my house that the vehicles travels through, unattended, on a conveyor, and I think it scratched the tailgate. It is not a touchless wash, but it has soft mops instead of bristles. Just a word of warning. A lot of automatic car washes have warnings about not taking pickups or SUVs through them. Guess that's why.
Hmmm I've brought mine through almost every month since I bought my truck. No problems with a touch wash yet.... I'm gonna have to try and find a touchlesss one. I don't think I've ever seen one here in Vegas...

No problems with mine. I've gone through with my cap on and I've gone through with my soft cover on,. Except for a few minor scratches on the side of the truck, I don't see a problem.

There are 3 words that immediately pop into my head when I hear car wash... DON'T DO IT!
Aside from being concerned about a bed cover, I'd be more concerned about all the other stuff that can fly off from a car wash, such as those black roof channel strips. The blow dry cycle alone is all that's needed for those to come off.
