Default Tint: Repair or leave it alone?

I have a 2007 DC Ltd with tinted windows. While cleaning the truck this morning, I notice two very small nicks in the tint on the front passenger side window.

Any repair will be covered under warranty. However, am I asking for more trouble than it's worth? Should I repair or leave it alone? Any worry that it might get worse over time?

I welcome your thoughts.

If on front window it won't be factory more than likely. In my opinion they problem won't repair my tint guy would just strip old tint and replace with new.

Are you talking about the warranty from the tint place? They will usually just strip off the old stuff and retint the whole window. It all depends on how much it bothers you. If it does, have them redo it. If they are "very small nicks" then leave it.

Most tint places warranty aganst "defects" only and some have timelines while others are lifetime. If the damage is from a seat belt clip or a watch or a ring or keys forget it. You will be footing the bill for the removal and the new install. The only question to the original poster is this: Is it factory tint or is it aftermarket tint? There is a big difference between the two. Most factory applications are placed into the glass itself and nearly impossible to scratch unless you scratch the glass. The film applied aftermarket is on the interior and is very easy to scratch.

The factory doesn't tint the front windows.
